A subgenre of future studies, and a vision of the future, that believes trees and plants will be part of, and possess portions of, the built environment.

Exists in contrast to many other genres of futurism, which present stark, barren visions of the future — often as a warning, but sometimes as a neutral eventuality or even a goal.
